November 2017 Revisions to the Interim List-Posting Protocols
At the November 18, 2017 caucus, we reviewed proposed revisions to the Interim List-Posting Protocols, affecting “Strike Three,” as follows. The caucus voted to approved these revisions.
Previous Wording
Strike 3 – Permanent Moderation
A third violation will result in permanent moderation within the Discussion Group and will not be eligible for reinstatement until their next membership renewal. A member may appeal the change in status by written notice sent directly to the Chair of the Caucus at chair@progressivecaucus.net. Permanent moderation will remain in effect until it is determined that no further violations have been attempted and none are expected in the future.
Whenever the level of invective really cannot be sustained, a professional mediation would be organized as an Ad-Hoc Committee to address the specific offending incident(s). Continued uncivil behavior will mean removal from the Discussion Group. If a Member brought before the Committee does not agree with the mediation conclusion, their membership in the Caucus may be terminated by a majority of the Board.
Revised Wording
Strike 3 – Banning for the duration of the present term
A third violation will result in being banned from the Discussion Group and will not be eligible for reinstatement for a minimum of one year or until a new caucus executive board is elected and set with the following term, whichever happens later. A member may appeal the change in status by written notice sent directly to the Chair of the Caucus at chair@progressivecaucuscdp.org

I’m glad to see this change. The change is what I had advocated for when I was N. Vice Chair.
Love the changes!
