Norman Solomon, journalist, media critic, and anti-war activist is the author of a dozen books including "War Made Easy: How Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death." He's a member of the CDP State Central Committee and a national co-chair of the Healthcare NOT Warfare campaign launched by Progressive Democrats of America. Norman was an elected Obama delegate to the Democratic National Convention from the 6th Congressional District (Marin and Sonoma counties). In 1997 he founded the Institute for Public Accuracy, a national consortium of policy researchers and analysts, which works pro-actively to provide alternative sources for journalists, and serves as its executive director.

Rick Reyes is a former Marine Corporal who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Since coming home in 2004, he has become increasingly disenchanted with our foreign policy and actively speaks out against the occupation of both Iraq and Afghanistan. He also spoke in front of the Foreign Relations Committee chaired by John Kerry on April 24th 2009 in opposition to the escalation in Afghanistan. He is a member of IVAW Los Angeles Chapter and part of the Rethink Afghanistan campaign with Robert Greenwald’s organization Brave New Foundation. He is now a businessman in Los Angeles.

Sonali Kolhatkar is the founder, host and producer of Uprising, a daily morning drive-time program based at KPFK-FM, Pacifica Radio in Los Angeles. Uprising's weekly digest is syndicated to more than a dozen stations nationwide. She has reported for Pacifica from all over the world, including Brazil, India, and Afghanistan, and has been recognized by community organizations including the South Asian Network, Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee, and Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance for her work in radio. Sonali is also the co-director of the nonprofit organization, the Afghan Women's Mission, which works in solidarity with the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan. She is the co-author of Bleeding Afghanistan: Washington, Warlords, and the Propaganda of Silence.

Marcy Winograd, co-founder of Progressive Democrats of America's LA chapter, is challenging Jane Harman in the 36th congressional district 2010 election. In 2006, Winograd mobilized almost 40% of the vote in only three months of campaigning against Harman, a Blue Dog who once described herself as "the best Republican in the Democratic Party.” A former UFW organizer in Delano, Marcy is a veteran member of United Teachers of Los Angeles who recently led a successful petition drive to restore teachers' jobs at hard-to-staff schools. She served as an Executive Board member of the California Democratic Party, successfully introducing resolutions to protect our vote, bring our troops home, and implement parole and sentencing reform.
