IMPORTANT Progressive Caucus Summit Update

Dear Progressive Caucus Members,

Due to many conflicting events on June 27th, as well as the inability of some key Progressive Caucus leaders and figures to attend, we are postponing our Summit in San Luis Obispo until mid August. With the announcement of the original date, it later came to light that there were enough events of significant size in both Southern and Central CA as to cause a less than satisfactory turnout for our event in San Luis Obispo.

Since it's especially important to have the presence of area Caucus members, we are rescheduling our Summit to work with their calendars. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and hope that with our advance notice, that you will be able to make our August meeting. We are looking at a tentative date of Aug. 15th and as soon as we know more, we'll send an update (so mark your calendars now!). We look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming E-Board Meeting in Burlingame on the weekend of July 17 - 19.

It must be pointed out that with the turn of events, it's called into focus a shortcoming we aim to address, and one which will require help from everyone in the Caucus. Although there are various organizations that have webpages with posted information about local actions and events, there wasn't anything in place for the Progressive Caucus at the time of the announcement. Since then, we've set up "Action Pages" on our own website. Please email us if you know of events that would be of interest to Caucus members. We have also added a Message Board where announcements can be posted as well as blogs.

Again, we apologize for the change in plans. We have already started planning for our event in August and are coordinating with area Progressives to ensure a smooth event. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments you may have.
